Mammie Brashears ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Kilgore Funeral Home, LLC - Tullahoma on Mar. 17, 2026.Rosemary "Mammie" Brashears, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, March 16th, 2026 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro at that age of 84. Mrs. Brashears was born in Algood, Tennessee to the late Edgar and Pauline Steele Hammons. During her life, she worked as an ER Nurse at Baptist Hospital and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma. Her biggest accomplishment was being a homemaker to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and anyone she had the privilege to get to know. She was a dedicated caregiver and nurturer to all! To know Mammie was to love her, be loved by her, and endlessly laugh! Mammie loved her family fiercely and left a lasting impression on everyone! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Brashears, Jr.; five brothers, Johnny, James, Tommy, David, and Billy Hammons; and one sister, Peggy Kennedy. Mrs. Brashears is survived by two daughters, Robin (Christopher) Walton and Katherine Langham (Dwight McGee); two sisters, Faye Doppie and Joyce Hunt; one brother, Jerry (Diane) Hammons; four grandchildren, Nicholas (Avery) Walton, Heath (Ashley) Walton, Levi Langham, and Abbey Langham; and one great-granddaughter, Allison Walton. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2026 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11:00am-1:00pm with the funeral to immediately follow at 1:00pm with Bro. Tim McGehee officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 23rd, 2026 at 2:00pm EST at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, TN.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
