Makeisha M Davidson

Makeisha M. Davidson, born February 27, 1974, in Lafayette, passed away on March 4, 2026, surrounded by her husband, daughters, and Ms. Pat. A devoted wife, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she was cherished by all who knew her.

The daughter of Lee Bruno and Sandra Celestine, Makeisha married Peter Davidson of Detroit, Michigan, on February 27, 2000. She spent 20 years working as a cook at T-Coons and Ton’s, where she formed many lasting friendships. She found joy in simple pleasures, gathering with family and friends to enjoy crawfish boils or riding while listening to Tucka.

Makeisha is survived by her husband of 26 years, Peter; her three daughters, Shanice Celestine, Kya Jack, and Thomasine Jack; her stepchildren, Isiah Davidson and Marjorie Davidson; and ten grandchildren: Aaliyah, Amari, Anastasia, and Ezekiel (Shanice’s children); Kenya, Frederick, and Peter (Kya’s children); and Ava, Amia, and Gianna (Thomasine’s children). She is also survived by her sister, Lakeisha Thibodeaux; her nephew, Corey; her nieces, Corianna and Farianna; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Bruno and Sandra Celestine; her sister, Sandra Faye Celestine; and both sets of grandparents. The family extends special gratitude to Ms. Pat Johnson, Sue Bruno, and Helen Norbert for their cherished friendships with Makeisha.
