Maggie Ruth Eldridge

October 27, 1944 March 8, 2026

Gaithersburg, MD

Maggie Ruth Eldridge was born to Thomas and Hazel Houseright on October 27, 1944, in Surgoinsville, Tennessee. She passed away on March 8, 2026, at Montgomery Village Nursing Home in Maryland.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carl Eldridge of Gaithersburg, and her sister, Jan Caputo of Glenelg. Her beloved son, Dennis Radford, predeceased her at the age of thirty-five. Maggie was the cherished “sassy” aunt to many nieces and nephews who hold dear their memories of her.

Maggie possessed a remarkably big heart and a warmth that could light up any room. She never met a stranger, often stopping to ask those in need if she could pray for them. A lifelong rescuer of stray cats, she would go without herself to ensure a hungry animal was fed. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and carried a wealth of secrets for catching them.

Above all, Maggie held a strong and abiding faith, loving the Lord with all her heart. She leaves behind the quiet hope of those who strive to one day join her again.
