Madeline V. Whipple

Madeline V. Whipple of Broussard, Louisiana, passed away on March 13, 2026 at the age of 87. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose quiet strength and loving presence touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Predeceased by her parents, Dewey Vidrine and Mary Reed; her husband, Jerry; her son, Michael; and her brothers, Robert Vidrine, Clifton Vidrine, and Alfred “Benny” Vidrine, Madeline is survived by her children, Diane, Thomas (Laura), Timothy (Martha), Paul (Dawn), and Mason (Amanda); her siblings, Dewey “Stephen” Vidrine (Tina), Lynda Vidrine Songy (Lance), and Leta Vidrine LeFranc; her grandchildren, Nicholas Whipple, Taylor Torres, Dakota Whipple, Noah Rhoades, Jennifer Whipple, James Whipple, Thomas Whipple, and Aubrey Whipple; and her great-grandchildren, Victoria, Audrey, and George Torres.

Through the years, Madeline remained the steadfast heart of her large and loving family, offering warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support to those she cherished. Her memory will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to call her family.
