Mackie Lambert ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Wake Memorial Park Cemetery on Mar. 5, 2026.Mackie Ann Williams Lambert, 81, of Apex, went home to be with The Lord Jesus on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at Rex Hospital surrounded by family. She was born in Wake County, NC on January 12, 1945 to the late Jeter Williams and Hazel Reams Williams. Mackie is preceded in death by her son Charles Lambert; sisters: Katy Jo Williams, Wanda W. Sorrell (Curtis), Lorraine W. Kane; brother: James "Macon" Williams; brother-in-law: Jim Britt.Mackie loved her family more than anything. Mackie always put others before herself and her door was always open. Mackie was an avid reader, enjoyed working on her jigsaw puzzles, especially on trips to Topsail Island where she would comb the beaches for sharks teeth. She loved going to live music concerts, especially Luke Bryan. Mackie grew up in the community of Green Level where she worked on the family tobacco farm. Many knew her from working at the Green Level community store for several years. She finished up her working days at Fidelity Bank in Cary where she was well loved.She is survived by her sons, Stephen Lambert and wife, Brandy of Apex; Matthew Lambert and wife, Anita of Chapel Hill; sister: Nancy W. Britt, of Kannapolis; sister-in-law: Eliza C. Williams of Apex; brother-in-law: John Kane of Cary; nephew: Jimmy Williams, wife Kelsey and son Jacob of Apex; niece: Dawn Staley and husband, Will of Apex; grandchildren: Hunter Lambert and fiancé Lauren, Brooke Hill and husband Tyler, Austin Lambert, and Nathan Lambert.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Duke Children's Hospital either online or by mail to Duke Children's Development, P.O.
