Lynne Seiple, a devoted mother whose life was marked by kindness, a love for children, and a deep passion for art and culture, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at the Premier Washington Health Center in Washington, Pennsylvania. Born on July 30, 1937, in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, she carried the warm and welcoming spirit of her hometown throughout her life.

After graduating from high school in Sunbury, Lynne worked in retail sales, where her attentiveness and genuine care touched many. She found special joy in working with inter-city children, nurturing their growth and potential. She generously supported the Moyer Institute of Dance and held a lifelong appreciation for ballet, highlighted by a cherished ten-minute conversation with Mikhail Baryshnikov that brought her great excitement and delight.

Lynne was also an avid photographer, capturing life with a thoughtful eye. She embraced Transcendental Meditation, found pleasure in cooking and baking for family and friends, and lived with a calm and gracious presence. Above all, she took greatest pride in being a loving mother to her son, Gregory Mershon.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Mershon, and her sisters, Jean (Donald) Eckrod and Jill (Jaimie) Rescigno. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, William Volinsky and Muriel (Carman) Westra. Her kindness, dedication to family, and gentle strength touched many and will be remembered with lasting warmth and affection.
