Lynn A Gramme

1946 — 2026

Oswego, IL

Lynn A. Gramme passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, just days before her 80th birthday. Born on March 25, 1946, in Aurora, Illinois, to James and Lizetta (nee Plant) Leedom, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone she met. A woman of quiet strength and warmth, Lynn served as a steady source of love and support for her family and community throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law John McCleary, and her great-granddaughter Raegan Lynn Curry.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Gordon Gramme, with whom she shared decades of marriage and countless cherished memories. Together they raised two daughters, Suzette “Zetti” Gramme and Jennifer McCleary. Lynn delighted in her role as grandmother to Allie (Jonny) Maye, Chloe (Cordero) Dickey, Jake (Maddi) Fitzpatrick, and Jessica (James) Curry, and as great-grandmother to Amelia “Mimi,” Olliver, and Piper Maye; Cecilia, Celina, and Carmela Dickey; Serenity Fitzpatrick; and Jordan and Remi Curry, along with one soon-to-arrive great-grandchild.

Lynn found deep joy in her garden, where she tended vibrant flower beds that reflected her love of nature and her nurturing spirit. She also took great pride in her work, owning and operating Lynn’s Painting and Decorating for 25 years, where her attention to detail and dedication brightened countless homes. A longtime member of St. Anne Catholic Church, her faith remained an important anchor in her life. She is also survived by her sister, Kathy Wall, her brother, Craig (Pinkey) Leedom, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will remember her unwavering love and gentle presence.

Lynn leaves behind a legacy of grace, generosity, and boundless devotion to her family that will continue to flourish in the hearts of all who knew her.
