Lynford D. Kromer, Jr., 61, of New Ringgold, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
A skilled welder by trade, Lynford left his mark through his craftsmanship on NFL stadiums across the country. His sense of adventure carried him throughout the United States and as far as Alaska, where he traveled with his friend Todd Snyder to fish for King Salmon. Closer to home, he was a familiar and respected presence in the local racing community, serving on the pit crews for Chowder Racing #70 and the Kenny Heim #77 team at Mahoning and Evergreen.
Whether coaching the Tamaqua Indians Knee Hi football team, hunting, fishing, or simply relaxing with his beloved dog Zeus, Lynford’s greatest joy remained his family. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathleen Ann (Turner) Kromer; his children, Moriah Turner and her companion Seth Krynock, and Logan Kromer; his brothers, David Kromer and his wife Michelle, and Mark Kromer; his grandchildren, Jayda Moyer, Mollie Lehman, Olyvia Moyer, Jensyn Moyer, Rodrick Sickler, and Logan’s best friend Austin Troxell, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynford D. Sr. and Violet (Kemmery) Kromer; his sister Susie; his niece Briana Kromer; and his nephew Kevin Nicholas Machay.
