August 13, 1946— March 11, 2026
Edmond, OK
Lyndon Henry Allen, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, was called to his eternal home on March 11, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on August 13, 1946, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Omedia and John “Veston” Allen, Lyndon lived a life marked by deep faith, unwavering devotion to family, and quiet service to his community.
After graduating from Duncan High School, he attended Colorado State College where he wrestled before transferring to Central State College, now the University of Central Oklahoma, to be near his future wife, Sharon, and to play football. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and served two years in the Oklahoma National Guard before building a successful career in land and property management. Known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and optimistic outlook, Lyndon earned the respect and admiration of those he worked with through his ability to connect with people and solve problems.
He was a devoted family man, married for decades to his beloved wife, Sharon. Together they raised three sons—Jason, Josh, and Jared—who were the center of his world. He warmly welcomed their wives, Michelle, Amy, and Brynn, into the family. His greatest joy came as a grandfather to Olivia, Grant, Sawyer, Beau, Creighton, Pierson, Blair, and Greer. Affectionately known as “Poppy,” he faithfully attended their games and special events, cheering them on with pride and enthusiasm.
Lyndon is lovingly remembered by his sister, Franza Schrader of Edmond, Oklahoma, and her family, as well as by Sharon’s sister, Carolyn Turner, and the many nephews and stepnephews whose lives he influenced with steady love and guidance. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Marion “Butch” Schrader, and by Sharon’s brother-in-law, Jim Turner. A man of quiet strength and warm humor, Lyndon’s greatest legacy remains his Christ-centered home and the example of faith, kindness, and joyful living he shared with all who knew him.
