Lyndol Dale Hicks

Lyndol Dale Hicks, 82, of Elizabethtown, Illinois, passed away on March 14, 2026, at Hardin County General Hospital. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a faithful member of Union Church.

He is survived by his children, Danny (Pam) Hicks, Tammy (Kelly) Davis, Kelly (Tom) Oxford, and Susan (Jared) Bogard; his grandchildren, Natasha (Brennon) Williams, Blake Oxford, Danielle (Tyler) Vaughn, Jeremy (Jessica) Hicks, Jamison (Jasmyne) Hicks, Kylie Bogard, Drake Bogard, and Gunner Bogard; and his great-grandchildren, Tommy, Bentley, and Nicholas Williams, Brevin, Blaze, and Camri Oxford, Kora Hicks, Ember Hicks, Waylon Hicks, Lilly Hicks, and Colson Vaughn. He is also survived by his brother, Deneen Hicks, and his sisters, Opal Mae Gibbs and Joy Wilson.

Lyndol was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Jo Jeanette Hicks; his parents, Russell Wayne and Beulah Mae Hicks; his granddaughter, Ashley Oxford; his sisters, Betty Ann Bishop and Gertie Davidson; and his brothers, Randall Hicks and Teddy Russell Hicks.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose quiet faith and steadfast love left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
