Luther I. Heiser

Luther I. Heiser, 92, of Lititz, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Brethren Village Retirement Community. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Elvenia (Brown) Heiser and Luther H. Heiser. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Heiser, who passed away in 2021. Together they shared more than 67 years of marriage.

Luther served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for many years as a design engineer at IBM, where he met the love of his life, Nancy, and began a lifelong partnership. An active member of Highland Presbyterian Church, he lived a full and active life. He found great joy outdoors, whether golfing, riding his bicycle, tending his garden, or working in the yard. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and pinochle, dancing, and traveling. One of his favorite adventures was the time he spent in Japan. With a creative and thoughtful mind, Luther designed several of the homes he and Nancy shared over the years.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Hartman of New Jersey, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife Nancy, he was preceded in death by his sister, Fern Reindak.
