Lupe Ramirez

Lupe Ramirez, 89, of Beeville, Texas, passed away on March 5, 2026, twenty days shy of his 90th birthday, at Christus Spohn Shoreline in Corpus Christi.

Born on March 25, 1936, in Mathis, Texas, to Jose M. Ramirez and Andrea (Perez) Ramirez, Lupe was a man of deep Pentecostal faith that guided and strengthened him throughout his life. A jack of all trades, he approached every endeavor with skill and determination. He took great joy in fishing, often sharing quiet days on the water with family and friends, while his years as a heavy equipment operator reflected his strong work ethic and lifelong commitment to providing for those he loved. Above all, Lupe was a devoted father, grandfather, and uncle, affectionately known as the “favorite uncle” to many nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Aurora Castillo Ramirez; his second wife, Nelly Ramirez; his son, Lupe Ramirez Jr.; and his siblings, Jesus Ramirez, Sofia Garrido, Corina Moreno, Salome Ramirez, Rafael De La Torre, Patricio Ramirez, and Eloy Ramirez.

Lupe is survived by his children, Lydia Torres, Lucia Dusek, Andrea Ramirez, Patricio Ramirez, Isaiah Guadalupe Ramirez, and Angie Ramirez; his siblings, Thomas Ramirez, Tony Ramirez, Linda Ramirez, and Debbie Ramirez; and a large and loving family that includes fifteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. As the middle child among seven siblings and the last of his brothers and sisters, Lupe leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and quiet strength that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
