Lula Hall ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Jones Funeral Home - Holly Ridge on Mar. 17, 2026.Holly Ridge - Lula Eleanor McCree Hall, 97, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at her home.Lula's family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Jones Funeral Home in Holly Ridge.Lula was born in Mount Holly, NC, was raised in Sneads Ferry but spent most of her adult life in Holly Ridge on family land that she was committed to preserving. From her time at Lee's McCrae College, where she played basketball, and as a substitute teacher at Dixon School, to her successful career and retirement from Corning, she had many friends. But her children and grandchildren were the center of her world. Her home was in constant movement with comings and goings, and she was always ready for whatever came to be.She was preceded in death by her children, Maxine "Mickey" Duckworth and James Robert "Robby" Hall; parents, Lila Justice and Thomas McCree Sr.; and brothers, Thomas McCree Jr., Robert McCree, and James McCree.She is survived by her children, Jane Brown, Pamala Hall, and Harold Hall; grandchildren, Pat Brown (Karrie), Robin Glover (David), Heather Padgett, Bryan Hall (Tina), Jill Jasso, Paula Mitchell, Robert "Bo" Hall, Brittany Hall (Michael); great-grandchildren, Erin Benton (John), Eve Hall, Eden Lewis, Joseph Hall, Garrett Lewis, Brady Brown, Kayce Brown, Dakota Hall, and Cheyenne Hall; and nephews, Joel McCree and Jeff McCree.Electronic condolences may be left for the family at www.jonesfh.orgIn lieu of flowers Lula's family request that contributions be made in her memory to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565, mhc-oxford.orgTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
