Luke William Spicher

1979 — 2026

Newnan, GA

Luke William Spicher, 46, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 27, 1979, in DuBois, Pennsylvania, Luke was the son of Ron and Cheryl (Modaffare) Spicher. He attended DuBois Area Schools and graduated from DAHS in 1998. He went on to graduate with honors from the IUP Culinary Arts Academy, completing his externship at the Cloister at Sea Island Resort along the Georgia coast. He later served as Route Coordinator and bus driver for the Brantley County School District before becoming Route Coordinator for Coweta County in 2013. In that role, he skillfully coordinated bus routes for 33 schools, 200 drivers, and 23,000 students. Luke was deeply beloved by the children he served and by his colleagues, who will greatly miss his steady presence and kind heart.

Luke found joy in celebrating holidays with his family, vacationing in the Outer Banks, shopping together, traveling and camping with his best friend Wiley, decorating his home, and relaxing at his beloved second home in Lake Placid, Florida. Those who knew him will always remember his warm smile, compassionate nature, and deep love for family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Ron and Cheryl Spicher; his sister, Lindsay Campbell; his best friend, Wiley Crews; Uncle Mark Modaffare and partner Joe Torrell of State College; Aunt Marsha Modaffare-Nye and Ron of Latrobe; Uncle Dennis Spicher and Louise of Baton Rouge; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Raymond and Claribel Spicher; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Marjorie Modaffare; uncle James Modaffare; and cousin Jonathan Spicher.
