Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. - Kingston on Mar. 11, 2026.Friends are invited to visit Friday March 13, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm.A prayer service will begin at 7pm.Luis Damian Cruz, 41, of Kingston passed at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on March 10, 2026, Born on April 12, 1984, he was the son of Rufino Cruz Lopez and Norberta Vasquez Calleja.Luis was a chef at Bowery Dugout on Albany Avenue in Kingston. He was very passionate about cooking, especially with his "Beastie." He had a love for fishing, watching movies (especially scary movies), and riding roller coasters. Luis valued the connections that he made with everyone who crossed his path. Luis also loved music of all genres and going to concerts.To know Luis was to love Luis. His friends and "fans" at the dugout were all important to him. Luis lived everyday exactly how he wanted and is now at peace.Luis is survived by his wife Yesenia Cruz, his children Ellieana Irene Cruz and Remi Damian Cruz, his parents Rufino Cruz Lopez and Norberta Vasquez Calleja, and his brothers Ivan Cruz and Jafet Cruz. Also surviving are his "Bowery Parents" Bruce and Shirley Paley, sister in laws, brother in laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, god children and his "Bowery Family".To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
