Luis Alberto Peregrina Galvan

Luis Alberto Peregrina Galvan, age 59, of Weaverville, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous year-long battle with brain cancer.

Born in Acaponeta, Nayarit, Mexico, on June 5, 1966, Luis built a life for his family in the Weaverville community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Enrique Peregrina Fonseca and Maria Del Refugio Galvan Tirado. A devoted husband, father, son, and grandfather, he cherished his family above all.

He is survived by his wife, Adriana Martinez Peregrina; sons Luis Peregrina, Jr. and his fiancée Daisy Perez, and Andres Peregrina and his fiancée Jenny Perez; grandchildren Valeria Peregrina Perez and Mia Peregrina Perez; and six siblings, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Luis will be remembered as a loving, caring, selfless, funny, and respectful man who brought joy, love, and laughter to everyone he met.
