Lucinda “Cindy” Bobeldyke

Lucinda “Cindy” Bobeldyke, age 70, of Huron, passed away peacefully at her home under hospice care on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Born Lucinda R. Armour on February 6, 1956, in Huron to Phillip and Janet (Stanfield) Armour, Cindy graduated from Huron High School in 1974. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Huron College and Northern State College. On May 31, 1981, she married the love of her life, James Bobeldyke. A strong and supportive partner, Cindy was the driving force behind many of Jim’s pursuits. Together they built a life filled with joy and welcomed their son, Alan Bobeldyke.

Cindy worked for many years at Walmart and earlier in her career at K-Mart, LSI, and several other places. She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Armour; her mother, Janet Stanfield Armour Bobeldyke; her step-father, Ernest Bobeldyke; her husband, James Bobeldyke; and her son, Corey Armour.

She is survived by her son, Alan (Heather) Bobeldyke of Huron; granddaughters Tessa Bobeldyke and Jordin Vest; grandson Draic Vest; her beloved dog, Milo; her siblings, Tim Armour of Nebraska and Laurie (Ron) Roy of Huron; her aunt, Betty Seter of Boise, Idaho; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
