She was predeceased by: her parents, Alec Penny and Nettie Ione Penny; her siblings, Lewie Penny, Tiny Abraham, Tom Penny and Elouise Smart; her son W. T. Simonton; and her former husband Ernest Simonton.

She is survived by: her daughter Beverly Lipham (Wayne Lipham); her grandchildren, Tiffany Chesnut, Marla Chesnut and Paul Chesnut; and her great grandchild Treyton Chesnut. She is also survived by four nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greenwood Funeral Home (3344 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Gardens (1219 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012).
