Lucille "Lucy" Emma Kondrotas

March 7, 1940 March 10, 2026

North Sandwich, NH

Lucille “Lucy” Emma Kondrotas, 86, of North Sandwich, New Hampshire, passed away on March 10, 2026, after a period of failing health. She was the beloved childhood sweetheart and wife of the late Vincent M. Kondrotas, Jr.

Born on March 7, 1940, in Brockton, Massachusetts, to the late Anita and Evald Erickson, Lucy graduated from Brockton High School in 1958. She went on to train at Boston Dispensary at New England Medical Center, earning her degree as a medical technologist in 1960. She and Vin left Brockton for Franklin, New Hampshire, and later made their home in Lochmere, Tilton, for 46 years. Lucy began her career as a medical technologist at Franklin Hospital, later served as an elder caregiver, and worked as a police officer with the Tilton Police Department, where she became the first woman in New Hampshire to be certified as a breathalyzer operator. She retired in 2005 as a licensed nursing assistant with the Laconia Housing Authority. She was also a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Tilton and enjoyed many happy days with Vin at Den Brae Golf Course in Sanbornton.

Lucy’s weekends and retirement years were filled with the outdoor pursuits she loved: boating, fishing, gardening, and golf. Some of her most treasured memories were the chartered sailing trips she and Vin took aboard the schooners Roseway and American Eagle, along with countless family outings on New England’s lakes and waterways.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Elliott and her husband Barry of North Sandwich, Jessica Barker of Laconia, and Jocelyn Kondrotas of Laconia, and by her grandson, Forrest Elliott and his husband Dana Moulton IV of York, Maine. Lucy was predeceased by her husband Vin in 2023, their infant daughter Jacqueline in 1971, her parents, and her beloved service dog Buster Brown in 2025.
