Loyd Eugene Awtry, 93, of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 9, 2026. He was born on June 11, 1932, in Monticello, Texas, to Loyd and Minnie (Grogan) Awtry.
Loyd was an avid fisherman who tried to fish every day. Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband and father whose warm presence touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his sons, Loyd Eugene Awtry, Jr. and Donny Awtry; his daughter, Elizabeth West; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
