McMillen, Lowell StevenCLARKSVILLE - Lowell Steven McMillen, born December 14,1957 in Albany, N.Y., passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026. Lowell is survived by his five loving children, Lauren (Mark) Gilmore, Suzanne (Jeff) Arthurs, Lowell McMillen Jr., Brandon McMillen, and Joseph McMillen. Lowell was the son of the late Elbert McMillen and Edith Scharf McMillen. Lowell was also predeceased by his wife, Jean (Hall) McMillen; and son, Shaine McMillen. He is also survived by his pride and joy, his seven beautiful grandchildren, Aubrey, Reid, Edie, Meila, Brandon Jr., James, and Madison. He will be missed by his seven siblings, Bonnie (the late James) Sweeney, Gerri (Ron) Dames, Elbert McMillen Jr., Wynn (Marlene) McMillen, Randy (Sonya) McMillen, Layne (Patti) McMillen, and Craig (Joyce) McMillen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lowell found joy in life's simple pleasures and the people he shared them with. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or enjoying a round of golf with friends, he treasured every moment outdoors. Known for his quick wit and easy smile, he had a special gift for making people laugh and being the life of the party. Evenings often ended with him relaxing with family or friends watching Jeopardy! and being quite proud of himself for answering the questions quicker than anyone else. Lowell was known for his unwavering honesty and willingness to lend a friend a helping hand. His humor, warmth, and love of life will be missed by all who knew him.Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 3:30 p.m., in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited, and may also visit with Lowell's family at the funeral home, prior to funeral services, from noon to 3:30 p.m., on Saturday.
