Lowell Mellenburch

Lowell Mellenbruch, 71, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away at his home on March 11, 2026. He was born on September 27, 1954, in Horton, Kansas, the son of Adrian and Edith (Schneider) Mellenburch.

Lowell graduated from Sabetha High School and worked for Collins Bus for more than 40 years. On February 14, 1986, he married Carol J. Deck in Hutchinson. He took great joy in time spent with his grandchildren, cherished fishing trips, and looked forward to more of both once he retired. An avid bowler for many years, he took special pride in bowling a perfect game. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring lawn mowers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Mellenburch.

Lowell is survived by his loving wife, Carol Mellenburch; son, Brent (Jared Olen) Deck; daughter, Amanda (Brian) Bushue; grandchildren, Samarah and Warrick Bushue; brothers, Mike Mellenburch and Kenneth Mellenburch; and sister, Ramona Gilmore.
