Lowell Gordon Rein

Lowell Gordon Rein, born in April 1934 in Jamestown, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, mother, and brother.

A proud alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh, Lowell earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees there, reflecting a lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth. He shared a devoted 50-year marriage with his wife, Suzanne P. Rein. He was a loving father to Daniel Rein (Jo) and Kathy Powell (Ray), a caring stepfather to Pam and Paula, and a cherished uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother-in-law to Sandra Mueller. He remained a steady and meaningful presence in the lives of his extended family and many friends.

An avid sports fan, Lowell loyally supported the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pitt Panthers. He found great joy in time spent at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland, and Longboat Key, Florida, where he created countless lasting memories with loved ones. A dedicated entrepreneur, he built and led LGR Consultants for many years, bringing the same integrity, determination, and strong work ethic to both his professional endeavors and his personal relationships.

Above all, Lowell cherished his beloved sheepdog Gib, who was his loyal and constant companion. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
