He was preceded in death by his beloved father, mother, and brother.Lowell attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees-an accomplishment that reflected his lifelong dedication to learning and personal growth.He shared a devoted marriage of 50 years with his wife, Suzanne P. Rein. He was a loving father to Daniel Rein (Jo) and Kathy Powell (Ray), and a caring stepfather to Pam and Paula. He was a cherished uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother-in-law to Sandra Mueller, and a steady presence in the lives of many extended family members and friends.An avid sports fan, Lowell proudly supported the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Pitt Panthers, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. He greatly enjoyed time spent at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland, and Longboat Key, Florida, where he created many lasting memories with family and friends.Lowell was a dedicated entrepreneur who spent many years building and running LGR Consultants, a business he was immensely proud of. His work ethic, integrity, and determination defined both his professional and personal life.Above all, Lowell loved sheepdogs, especially his loyal and beloved best pal, Gib, who brought him constant companionship and joy.Lowell will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
