Lowell Edward Collins, 85, of Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away on March 9, 2026, at the Continuous Care Center at Wheeling Hospital. Born on June 14, 1940, in Burnwell, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Roy T. and Virginia M. Farrow Collins.

A graduate of McKinley High School, Lowell worked as a meat cutter for 43 years in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, retiring from Giant Eagle after 24 years of service. He was a longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church in Wheeling. Those who knew him will remember his love of people, his ability to make anyone laugh, and his steadfast presence in times of need. He had a remarkable gift for seeing the good in everyone he met.

In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen Reichenbach Collins; his siblings, Robert L. Collins, Barbara Ellen Leach, Wesley T. Collins, and Nancy Mae Collins; and his daughter, Christine Collins.

He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Janet Irene Becker Collins; his siblings, Frederick R. Collins, Mary Jane (Stanley) Rogerson, Myrtle B. Schmalz, and Lois Jean Brombach; his children, Gary (Sally) Collins, Craig (Judy) Collins, Kevin (Stacey) Collins, Leigh Ann Cliser, June Cliser, and Amy (Phil) Rogacki; seven grandchildren, Mark (Laura) Collins, Danae McMaster, Crystal (Dennis) Hall, Amber (James) Dyer, Alex Collins, Cassie (Tyler) Schultz, and Matthew Collins; three great-grandchildren, Rylee Collins, David McMaster, and Julianne Collins; and several nieces and nephews.
