Lowell D. Robinson

Lowell D. Robinson, 89, of Marquette Heights, passed away at home on March 9, 2026. Born on May 13, 1936, in Kewanee, Illinois, he was the son of Waymond and Emma Robinson. He married Betty E. Smith on February 1, 1958, in Peoria. Betty preceded him in death on March 17, 2022.

Lowell lived life with a spirit of adventure, always looking forward to the next experience and making the most of every moment. He found joy in reading, gardening, hiking, biking, woodworking, and cooking. A gifted musician, he played the organ, guitar, and dulcimer, and made it his daily practice to study God’s Word. His faith remained a steady foundation throughout his life, as reflected in the personal psalm he wrote and the scripture he cherished.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Benjamin Robinson, his grandson William Perino, two brothers, and two sisters. Lowell is survived by his daughters, Elaine (Doug) Rebholz of Marquette Heights and Beth Snyder of Camdenton, Missouri; his son, Daniel (Kathy) Robinson of Pekin; three grandchildren, Rachel (Aaron) Buehrer, Sarah (Gabe) Gesell, and Alycia (Skyler) Edwards; and three great-grandchildren, Sage Edwards, Tobias Buehrer, and Judah Buehrer, with a fourth on the way. He is also survived by one brother and two sisters.
