She was predeceased by: her husband Charles W. Raines Sr.; her parents, Lewis Whitaker and Mamie Whitaker; her stepmother Zula Allen Whitaker; her sisters, Dora Hendrick, Margaret Weathers and Lorene Price; her son-in-law Eddie Benfield; and her great grandchildren, Sadie Raines and Kohen Price.

She is survived by: her children, Charles W. Raines Jr. (Beverly) of Shelby and Kathy Raines Benfield Fisher (David) of Iron Station; her grandchildren, Jason Benfield (Nicole) of Boiling Springs, David Benfield of Dallas, Matthew Raines (Juliegh) of Waco, Katie Rigley (Tanner) of Charlotte, Josh Shuford of Shelby, Tessa Price (Skylur) of Shelby and Charlie Fisher (Jennifer) of Concord; and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Owen, Noah Benfield, Jackson, Sawyer, Cooper Raines and Joel Fisher.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cleveland Memorial Park (1225 College Ave, Shelby, NC 28152).
