Louise "Wheezy" Caswell

Louise "Wheezy" Caswell, age 97, of Swartz Creek, peacefully passed away on March 7, 2026. A private memorial service will be held.

Louise was born on August 29, 1928, in Muskegon, the cherished daughter of Herman and Theresa (Trenz) Doctor. She was a joyful soul whose Christian faith guided and inspired her throughout her life. Louise had a deep love for the sunshine, whether enjoying tranquil days up north on the lake or spending more than 20 vibrant years in Punta Gorda, Florida. She also had a passion for Rock ‘n’ Roll, with a special fondness for Bob Seger.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Robert (Renee) Slagle, Bonnie (Matthew) Mrasek, William (Vickie) Slagle, and Barbara (Phillip) Johnson; her grandchildren, Stacey (Steve) Barnes, Bernie (Toni) Byrnes, Robert (Lisa) Slagle, Joshua Dobrowski, Cassia (Mike) Lutturll, and Jeremy (Elli) Kennedy; and many treasured great-grandchildren, Samantha, Riley, Megan, Tyler, Cameron, Stephen, Taylor, Cara, Ryan, Nicholas, Caliegh, Ryleigh, Tristyn, Serenity, Makiah, Ronald, Rain, Tehya..

Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Robert Slagle and Raymond Caswell; her sister, Marcella; and her brother, Harry.
