Louise Wheeler ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Rowe Funeral Home and Crematory - Grand Rapids on Mar. 17, 2026.Louise Ann Wheeler, age 86, of Forest Lake, MN, formerly of Hill City, MN and Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at M Health Fairview Lakes Medical in Wyoming, MN.Louise was born in 1939 to Walter and Edna Doree in Hill City, MN. She graduated from Hill City High School in 1957. In 1958, Louise was united in marriage to Ralph Wheeler. They made their home in Minneapolis from 1957 until 1992. She retired after 25 years in Postal Service, and moved to Grand Rapids, MN. Louise and Ralph wintered in Texas for seven years. Following Ralph's passing, she moved to Big Lake, MN and later to Forest Lake, MN to be closer to her family. She was an active member at Grand Rapids Baptist Church, SBC. Louise enjoyed reading, playing bingo and doing activities at the assisted living facility she resided at in Forest Lake, MN.Louise is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; four sisters, LaVonne Mohler, Eleanor Roy, Gloria Brink, and Dona Adams; three brothers, Henry "Jim" Doree, Rollyn "Sonny" Doree, and Rodney Doree.She is survived by her children, Kathy (Steve) Nelson of Arcadia, FL, Vincent (Gail) Wheeler of Lino Lakes, MN, and Bruce Wheeler of Madison, WI; brother, LeRoy "Butch" Doree of Hill City, MN; five grandchildren, Nickol Nelson, Boone (Angel) Nelson, David Wheeler, Christine (Jake) Bernier, and Sasha Wheeler; and four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, MN with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Stan Dow will officiate. Burial will be in Hill Lake Cemetery, Hill City, MNArrangements are with Rowe Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Grand Rapids, MN.
