Louise A. Bennett

Louise A. Bennett, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Wayne A. Bennett, whom she adored and cared for until his passing in 2015. Together they shared a passion for antiquing and ran a small booth at the Stratford Antique Center. They also enjoyed driving to car shows and spending quiet days in the warmer weather on their front porch, watching the world go by. Louise took great pride in her beautiful garden filled with pink flowers that complemented her charming pink house, earning her the affectionate nickname of their little pink lady. Above all, she treasured her family, and the memories she created with them will be cherished forever.

Born on October 29, 1941, in Norwalk, Louise was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Mildred Palumbo. She is survived by her loving daughter, Louise D. Bennett, and her beloved grandchildren Ludovico Iacono, Amanda Kelly and her husband Matthew, and her great-granddaughter Meadow. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Carol Palumbo, brother-in-laws Gary Bennett, Russell Oullette and his wife Gigi, Frank Oullette and his wife Elizabeth, her cousin Anna Richter, and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Alfred Palumbo and his wife Caroline, Ralph Palumbo, William Palumbo and his wife Cathrine, her sister Cathrine Grecco and her husband Daniel, and her sister-in-law Phyllis Bennett.
