Louisa Zalamia

Louisa Zalamia of Springfield, Virginia, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 98. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicanor Zalamia and the loving mother of Oscar Zalamia (Frances), Cynthia Cornell (Peter), Susan Ginnetti (Paul), and Marita Zalamia-Hughes. She was the cherished grandmother of Christopher and Matthew Zalamia, Jamie Evans (Jonathan), Adam and Lauren Ginnetti, and the great-grandmother of Kaiya Leavitt and Emersyn Evans. She is also survived by her sisters, Teresita Castro and Aurora Magallanes.

Louisa will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Her deep love for her family, her faith, and her many passions left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She loved music and playing the piano, was passionate about her long career as a CPA and comptroller, and enjoyed traveling all over the world. Above all, she devoted her life to God and to caring for those around her.

After 18 years apart, Louisa has happily reunited with her cherished Nick for eternity and is now at peace in God’s embrace in heaven.
