Louis Wayne Henderson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the age of 75 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Born on May 18, 1950, in Franklin, Kentucky, Louis spent his entire life in the community he cherished.
A 1968 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School, Louis farmed the land where he lived, earning respect for his steadfast commitment to hard work. He was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion. His greatest joys came from family vacations to the beach, where he created adventures for the children, and from sharing his lifelong hobbies of fishing and baseball.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jennifer Henderson, and their five children: Jim Henderson (Karen) of Franklin, Kentucky; Scott Henderson (Jaime) of Franklin, Kentucky; Amy Elliott (Brent) of Frankfort, Kentucky; Jake Henderson (Mallory) of Alvaton, Kentucky; and Kristi Farhoudi (Rahmeen) of Atlanta, Georgia. Louis was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren: Jordan Henderson, Rachel Harvey, Zach Henderson, Hannah Payne, Leah Henderson, Kenzie Henderson, Sam Elliott, Nora Elliott, Ellis Henderson, Mallie Henderson, and Laila Farhoudi; and five great-grandchildren: Sam, Everly, Sutton, Karley, and Renlee. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael Henderson and Jeff Henderson (Michelle), and his sister, Brenda Brown, all of Franklin, Kentucky, along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Louis Henderson and Norma Joyce (Finn) Henderson, and his brother, Rickey Henderson. He will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and his thorough enjoyment of life, often saying that the one thing he had never done was have too much fun.
