Louis E. (Chap) Elliott, 93, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at The Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.

Born on January 17, 1933, in New Berlin, he was the son of the late Preston and Hazel (Solomon) Elliott. On April 24, 1954, he married the former Lois M. (Schell) Elliott, who survives. Together, they shared many years of love and cherished memories.

Chap proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a radio operator from December 27, 1951, until December 27, 1959, including during the Korean War.

He was employed as a machine operator and retired from Moore Business Forms.

Chap was deeply involved in his community. He served as a Deputy Police Officer for the Mifflinburg Borough and as a Deputy Fish Commission Officer. He was also a member of the Mifflinburg Fire Company, a life member of Benfer-Miller American Legion Post 957 in New Berlin, and a life member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen’s Association.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, traveling, and had a deep love for baseball, continuing to watch and follow the game throughout his life.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Lois, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia L. and Terry Harvey of Mifflinburg, and Brenda and Thomas Sweet of Malvern; one son and daughter-in-law, Alan E. and Linda Elliott of Mifflinburg; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, June Ocker of Mifflinburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Leitzel, and a brother, Harold Solomon.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Chap’s memory may be made to the Union County Veterans Foundation, c/o Douglas Walter, 916 Washington Avenue, Lewisburg, PA.
