She cherished time spent with family and friends, always making memories filled with love and laughter. Lorraine had a passion for travel and enjoyed exploring new places, but she was just as happy outdoors, canoeing, camping, and embracing nature with those she loved most. A talented seamstress, she poured her creativity and care into everything she made, leaving behind not only beautiful pieces, but a legacy of warmth, strength, and deep family devotion.She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Don McCaughey; children, Cass McCaughey and wife Regina, Brett McCaughey and wife Tammy, and Fara Cloud and husband Shannon; daughter-in-law, Amanda McCaughey; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and sister, Theresa Bonin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her son, Thor McCaughey; parents, Oliver and Martha Gaudet; sister, Juanita Powell; and nephew, Ronald Jean Caswell.Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Vinton Methodist Church, 1102 Horridge Street, Vinton, Louisiana. Pastor Matt Remai and Rev.
