Lorraine K. Welch

Lorraine Catherine Welch (née Purcell), 73, of Simpsonville, Kentucky, passed away on March 11, 2026.

A retired flight attendant, Lorraine embraced life with an adventurous spirit and a deep love of learning about the world. She was a fierce and dedicated supporter of charitable causes, giving generously of her time and resources to organizations including the Wounded Warrior Project, the National Disabled Veterans Foundation, Metro Animal Services, Dare to Care, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Edward Welch Sr. Lorraine’s spirit lives on through her son, Zachary Welch (Brittney), and grandchildren Bailey and Madisyn Welch, as well as her stepchildren Jennifer Fair and Robert Welch Jr. (Nicole), and her step-grandchildren Joshua Fair (Tabea), Megan Fair, Ryan Fair, and Hailey Xuereb (Julian).
