Lorna Marie Fleming

Lorna Marie Fleming of Mt. Morris, Michigan, passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born on February 9, 1936, in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, to Edward and Lema (Scholten) Jacobson, Lorna grew up in Rudyard and graduated from Rudyard High School with the class of 1954. On July 16, 1955, she married Dale Fleming in Rudyard; he predeceased her on October 6, 2019. Lorna worked for many years in housekeeping at Maple Woods Manor. She was a longtime member of the Clio Eagles Aerie and the Ladies Card Club, where she enjoyed fellowship for thirty years. She and her family were active in the US Basset Hounds Field Trials, traveling across the country to attend events. Lorna found simple joy in completing dot-to-dot books, feeding the birds, camping, and tending to her yard art.

She is survived by her children, Beth (Paul) Hennagir of Clio, Denise Fleming of Mt. Morris, Ric (Rhonda) Fleming of Linden, Kim (Bob) Light of Clarkston, and Ed Fleming of Phoenix, Arizona; her grandchildren, Brian (Meghan) Hennagir, Brett Hennagir, Matthew (Cari) Hennagir, Corey Fleming, Starr (Jordan) Rupkey, Megan Fleming, Paige Fleming, Josh (Chelsey) Light, and Tyler Fleming; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, one brother, and one sister.
