Bryan, TX

Lorine Marie Golden, 64, of Bryan, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2026. She was born in Danbury, Texas on December 21, 1961 to Eddie and Henrietta Prihoda.

A proud graduate and salutatorian of Danbury High School, Lorine went on to earn her degree in Industrial Technology from Texas A&M University as a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 1984. She began her career with Friedrich Air Conditioning in San Antonio before moving to Houston to join Compaq, where she worked as an Industrial Engineer and later as a Software Program Manager. It was there she met her former husband, Glenn Golden.

Family was the heart of Lorine’s life. She embraced motherhood with deep devotion, centering her world around her children, Drew Golden and Brooke Ozio. After the family’s move to California in 2000, she took an early retirement in 2001 to focus on raising them, staying actively involved in their schools and activities. The family returned to Texas in 2004, settling in Austin, where Lorine’s home became a beloved gathering place known for its warmth, hospitality, and generous table. In 2023, she and her beloved dog, Max, moved to Bryan, allowing her to cheer loudly for the Aggies at home games and enjoy closer time with her sisters and extended family. She cherished her neighbors in the Traditions community and was known for her generosity and gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for.

Lorine was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Henrietta Prihoda, and her brother, Alton Prihoda. She is survived by her siblings, Julie White, Nonie Mendias (John Auwaerter), John Prihoda (Susan Prihoda), Helen Tippen (Dan Tippen), Ed Prihoda (Shirley Prihoda), Ethlyn James (Roy James), Louise Prihoda, Janie Walthall (Chris Walthall), and Margie Terrell (Bill Terrell), her children, Drew Golden (Amy Golden) and Brooke Ozio (Ryan Ozio), and her grandson, Grant Golden, who brought her immense joy in the final months of her life. Her strong faith in the Lord brings her family comfort, knowing she is now free from pain and at peace in her heavenly home.
