Loria Ann Hughes of Pascagoula, Mississippi, was born on January 26, 1961, in Moss Point, Mississippi, to the late Ora Lee Williams. She passed away on March 4, 2026, in Pascagoula.
Known affectionately by her husband Ed as Loria Ann, she was a loving mother, devoted wife, and cherished her family above all. A lifelong resident of Jackson County, she attended school in Moss Point and Pascagoula, graduating from Pascagoula High School with the Class of 1979. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, serving as a compassionate companion to seniors. Loria had a deep love for flowers and spent many hours tending her yard, where her green thumb was evident. She was also an enthusiastic sports fan, especially of the New Orleans Saints.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ora Lee Williams; stepfather, Robert Snowden; aunt, Isabelle Davis; and cousin, Helen Sequra.
Loria leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Ed Hughes; son, Antonie Davison; daughters, Veronica Davison and Ebony (Quincy) Scott; grandchildren, Pearson Davison, E’Laysia Hinton, Amira Smith, and Eilon Scott; sisters, Jacqueline (Tyrone) Lindsey and Angela (Duone) Reese; brother, John W. Hill; and a host of in-laws, including JoEtta Smith, Delois Turner, Ernestine Jones, Willie Jean Robinson, Renee Hughes, Jerome (Gail) Hughes, Wanda Hughes, and Vincent (Carla) Hughes. She is also survived by her special friend, Gloria Anderson, as well as devoted cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. She fought a good fight.
