January 25, 1961— March 9, 2026
Olney, IL
Lori Ann Hundley of Olney, Illinois, born on January 25, 1961, was the devoted and only daughter of Don and Carolyn (Black) Bare. She was a loving sister to Kevin Bare and treasured her family deeply throughout her life.
She was the cherished mother of Matthew (Jamie) Hundley and the late Jonathan Hundley. Being a mom was one of Lori’s greatest joys, and her love for her family remained at the center of her life. Lori cared deeply for people. With her witty humor and quick sarcasm, she had a special way of lightening any situation and bringing laughter to those around her. Even in difficult moments, she found a way to bring smiles to the room.
For 25 years, Lori worked as an office manager for Murvin Oil Company in Olney, where her dedication, loyalty, and consistency were unmatched. She also volunteered for many years at the Good Samaritan of Richland County food bank. Active in her church, First Assembly of God, she served faithfully, especially enjoying greeting others and helping with “Cup of Joy” on Sundays. Her love for Jesus was evident in the way she lived, and her faith shone brightly, especially in her final days.
Lori found great joy in traveling and getting away whenever she could. She cherished her frequent trips to St. Charles to visit Matthew and Jamie, bus trips with friends, and attending Senior Church Camp with her dad. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Jamie Hundley of St. Charles, Missouri; her special grand puppy, Charlie; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Carolyn Bare; her brother, Kevin Bare; and her infant son, Jonathan Hundley.
