Loretta Lee Tesar

Loretta Lee Tesar, 63, of Dundee, Iowa, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at UnityPoint Health St. Luke’s Living Center West.

Born on March 11, 1962, in Blue Hill, Maine, to Roderick and Gladys (Brake) Damon, Loretta graduated from high school and earned her nursing assistant license. She devoted many years to caring for others at Living Center West. On June 13, 2012, she married Christopher Tesar in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Loretta found joy in playing the flute, writing poetry, crocheting, and sewing. Above all, she cherished her family and treasured every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her children, Lauren (Jordan) McMurrin of Dundee, Iowa, Gregory McCorkle of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Rebecca McCorkle of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Joshua Damon of Camden, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Dustin, Charlie, Vanessa, Scarlett, Owen, and ReaLeigh; and her sister, Kathy Jo Wenndt (Paul Heuchelin). She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Brian Damon, Cecil Novak, and Gregory Novak.
