"Butter" Rousseau, 103, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 1:00 p.m. March 15, 2026 at Garbry Ridge Assisted Living. She was born March 2, 1923 in Piqua to the late William and Viola (King) Culpepper. She married Arnold L. "Bud" Rousseau December 9, 1943 in Piqua. He preceded her in death June 12, 2002.Survivors include daughter, Julie (Brett) Davis; seven grandchildren, Chad (Tracy) Davis of Avon, Ohio, Shane (Susan) Davis of Lewis Center, Ohio, Christina (Charles) Grundhoefer of Birmingham, Alabama, Steven (Sherry) Rousseau of Jameson, Alabama, Roxanne (Robert) Drake of Chelsea, Alabama, Jennifer Rousseau of Chelsea, Alabama., Patrick (Kara) Rousseau of Memphis, Tennessee; 15 great-grandchildren, Dominic, Allison, Parker, Camden of Ohio, Kevin, Corbitt, Stephanie, Alicia, Sophia, Olivia, Robbie, all of Alabama, A.J., Levi, Memphis, and Cruz all of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Rousseau; daughter-in-law Priscilla Rousseau; two sisters, Marjorie Etter, Jean Richter; one brother, Paul Culpepper; and a grandson, Andrew J. Rousseau.Mrs. Rousseau was a 1941 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She worked at Pioneer Rural Electric Cooperative from 1941 until she fully retired in 1994. She was a long time member of the Church of Christ where she served for many years as their organist, pianist and choir director. In later years she attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Piqua. She enjoyed a very full and happy life that included many wonderful vacations with her husband, Bud and their many friends, especially their annual trip to Siesta Key, Florida. Butter enjoyed living at Garbry Ridge and participating in all activities they offered. She was loved by all who knew her.A service to honor her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, also at the funeral home.
