"If I had not meant it, I would not have told you that I would prepare a place for you and come for you at the right time". A paraphrase from John 14: 1 & 2. North Salem, Indiana, was her birthplace. She was a faithful and loving wife to Eugene Allen Trent, Sr. and mother to Eugene Allen Trent, II. As an active member of First Baptist Church, Rogersville, Lois served in many different areas including Sunday School teacher, member of various committees, Bible School Principal, and WMU President. Among other joys of her life were traveling, gardening, antiquing, fashion and working crossword puzzles in ink.
