Lois L. Muir

Lois L. Muir, of Kaukauna, passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 96, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 26, 1929, in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, to Richard and Helen (Copp) Peardon. On December 20, 1947, in Brampton, she married the love of her life, William Muir. They shared 59 years of marriage before Bill’s passing on August 31, 2007. Lois and Bill lived for many years in the Milwaukee area, where she worked in the restaurant industry, before moving to Green Bay following his retirement.

A devoted mother, Lois took great pride in her children and often said her greatest joy in life was simply spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Bill (Carolyn) Muir, Joan (Jerry) Nelson, and Karen Muir, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her son, Richard; her daughter-in-law, Debra Muir; her parents, Richard and Helen Peardon; her brother, Thomas Peardon; her father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Rose Muir; and her sister-in-law, Margaret “Peg” Kelley. Lois will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. Mary Cemetery in Kaukauna.
