Lois Leonhard ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Maurina/Schilling Funeral Homes - Abbotsford on Mar. 17, 2026.Lois Jean Leonhard, age 78, of Dorchester, WI passed away peacefully Thursday, March 12, 2026 surrounded by loved ones under the tender care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.The daughter of Robert and Lillian (Anderson) Behrens, Lois was born on May 16, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI.Lois was a compassionate and hardworking woman who devoted much of her life to caring for others, working as a nursing assistant and prep cook.Lois found joy in attending garage sales, always searching for unique knick-knacks to decorate her home. An animal lover with a green thumb, Lois also enjoyed caring for her plants and pets. Lois was an avid and skilled card player who especially loved games of Sheepshead and Rummy. Above all, she cherished her grandchildren and loved to spoil them.Lois is survived by her five children; Dean Leonhard, Dion Leonhard, Brenda (Pat) Jenness Ricky (Brenda) Leonhard and Gena Leonhard. Three siblings: Leny, Lorretta and Ralph. She is further survived by seven grandchildren: Katrina, Gavin, Monique, Jaylen, Briley, Cayden and Aaron Gumz, One choosen daughter; Tina Lee and significant other of 34 years: Gary DawsonLois is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Bob, Glen, Dennis and David.
