Lois Goodwin Hartman

Lois Goodwin Hartman, age 93, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Born on May 7, 1932, in Elmira, she was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah Janowski Hartman. A graduate of the Arnot-Ogden School of Nursing, Lois dedicated 39 years of her life to the nursing profession, serving for many years with the Chemung County Health Department. She took great pride in the compassionate care she provided to her patients.

Lois was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord Jesus and was a longtime member of Christian Faith Fellowship Church. She is survived by her brother, Bernard (Alice) Hartman, along with several close family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husbands, John F. Anderson, Walter Fenton, Roy Goodwin, and Donald Hartman, as well as her beloved son, David Anderson, and granddaughter, Jessica Anderson.

Her family extends heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at the Chemung County Nursing Facility for the daily love and compassion they showed Lois throughout her time there.
