He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Burk and Mary Catherine Burk; his daughter Lora Lynn Lackey; and his brothers, David Burk Sr., George Burk and Orville Larkin.

He is survived by: his son David Lloyd Burk (Judy) of Liberty Township, OH; his wife Mary Denney of Rossville, IL; his grandchildren, Breanne Wells (Dave) of Danville, IL, Brooke Phillips (Daron) of Oxford, AL, Bryan Porter (Dana) of Derby, KS and Elyse Wells (Tim) of Maineville, OH; and his sister Pearl Carter. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (427 E Main St, Hoopeston, IL 60942). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Rossville Cemetery.
