Ms. Lisabeth Lee Charlton, age 67, formerly of Lowman, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA, where she has been residing for the last 10 and a half years.
Lizzie as she was known by family and friends was born on December 10, 1958, in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Frank Edward Charlton Jr. and Joan Swallow Charlton. She graduated from Franklin High School in Reisterstown, MD.
Throughout her whole life, she loved all animals. While living in Lowman, NY, she loved feeding all of the wildlife around her home. She also enjoyed fishing with her dad. While living at the Highlands, she enjoyed coloring and playing Bingo. She also loved fashion and dressing up with a nice purse.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law: Bruce and Sandra Charlton and their son David Charlton of Arbustus, MD, former sister-in-law Susan Neuhauser of Spencer, NY, nieces: Jessica and Martin Massey of Follansbee, WV, and Rebecca and Michael McCarthy of Nichols, NY. She is also survived by a special cousin Robert Feffer of NY and several relatives residing in England including her aunt Marilyn, and several caregivers and friends at the Highlands. She is also survived by two great nephews and a great great nephew and great great niece.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Dr. Brian Charlton on February 15, 2021, and her sister-in-law Mary Charlton and her brother George Charlton.
Lisabeth will be laid to rest next to her parents in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, NY.
