Born on March 25, 1979, in Wilmington, Ohio, Lisa was an impactful resident who dedicated herself to the service of others.A proud 1997 graduate of Wilmington High School and a 2001 graduate of Wilmington College, Lisa turned her passion for helping people into a career in social work. She was currently serving her community through her work at the Clinton County Board of Developmental Disabilities (DD).Lisa's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an active member of the Wilmington Church of Christ, where she shared her heart as a youth small group leader. Above all, Lisa was a devoted mother. Whether she was volunteering for school functions or cheering at her children's activities, her life centered on her family. An avid reader with a loving spirit, she was a beloved community member often considered a "mom" by friends and family alike.She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 25 years, Brian Sweetman, whom she married on May 26, 2001; her four children, Noah Sweetman of Wilmington, Makenzie (Will) Cooper of Marshall, Michigan, Caleb Sweetman of Wilmington, and Bryleigh Sweetman of Wilmington; her mother, Mary Fichter of Cincinnati; brother, Joe (Brittany) Fichter and niece, Teagan of Cincinnati; mother-in-law, Janice Sweetman of Wilmington; and sister-in-law, Shawnda (Allen) Batson of Wilmington and her niece, Brittany (Andy) Hansel of South Range, Wisconsin and nephew, Tyler (Rachel) Batson of Wilmington. She also leaves behind her uncle, Ken Danes of Wilmington; Aunt, Paula Davis of Cincinnati; a cousin, whom she thought of as a brother, John (Lauretta) Danes and their sons, Brice and Landon, all of York, Pennsylvania; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Karen Danes; her brother, Rodney Danes; her aunt, Peggy Danes; father-in-law, Robert Sweetman; brother-in-law, Jim Sweetman; and her grandparents, Raymond and Margaret Danes.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Wilmington Church of Christ. Burial in Centerville Cemetery, Lees Creek, Ohio, will immediately follow services. Dale McCamish and Tony Brackemyre will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at the church. Memorial contributions in Lisa's memory will be accepted by the family and designated to various charities of their choice.
