Silsbee, TX
Lisa Barton Hale, 60, of Silsbee, Texas, passed away on March 4, 2026. Born on June 25, 1965, at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to Ronald Barton, Sr. and Nancy Zavacki, she grew up in Brick Township, New Jersey. She graduated from Brick Memorial High School in 1983 and from the Katharine Gibbs School in 1985 as a legal secretary. In 1989 she married Rodney Hale and together they made their home in Silsbee.
Lisa’s greatest joys were her family, especially her grandchildren, along with her beloved cats, Carnival cruises, spa days, Starbucks coffee, white merlot, and true-crime podcasts. She was an avid New York Yankees fan who never missed an opportunity to see them play, whether in Texas or during visits home to New Jersey. Her beautifully crocheted afghans remain a lasting token of her warmth and care for those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Zavacki, in 1999 and her ex-husband, Rodney Hale, in 2018. Lisa is survived by her son, Matthew Hale, and daughter-in-law, Christian Hale; her granddaughters, Grace and Abigail; her grandsons, Eli and Ryder; her goddaughter, Amanda Reilly; her father, Ronald Barton, Sr., and stepmother, Beverly Barton; her best friends, Zandra McDonald and Debbie Wilcox; and her siblings, Gina Malloy, Leah Schaefer, Tracy Herrell, Ronald Barton II, Russell Barton, and Kelly Barton.
