Linette M. (Chevalier) Michaud, 66, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She was the loving wife of Joseph Allan Michaud for 44 years. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Blanche (Lavoie) Chevalier and lived in the city for most of her life.

A proud wife of a military serviceman, Linette embraced the values of a military family with strength and grace. Through many moves and new beginnings, she created a warm and welcoming home wherever the family traveled. Her resilience, loyalty, and steadfast support formed the foundation of her family’s strength. Linette cherished time spent with her loved ones and delighted in spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, dining out, and hosting gatherings, where her warm smile and open heart made everyone feel valued and at home. She worked for many years as a waitress at the Willow Tree and Little Phoenix.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her children, Nichole Adesso of New Bedford, Steven Adesso of Texas, Eathan Michaud of New Bedford, Lance Michaud and his wife Melissa of Washington, and Magan Michaud of Boston; her siblings, Jackie Correia and her husband Andy, Michelle Amaral and her husband Steve, Jeannine Chevalier, Richard Chevalier and his wife Joanne, and Maurice Chevalier and his wife Rosie; and her grandchildren, Jayden Adesso, Kylie Thibault, Austin, Emma, and Madee Michaud, Chevy Gilmete, and Adaliea Dextraze.
